Rob,

Thanks for the reply. I just want to guify as quickly and as
inexpensively as possible. I thought I found the way to go with iSeries
Access for the Web but that product's 5250 interface does not implement
all of the DDS keywords. Users will not appreciate the fact that 'field
exit' is not fully implemented.

I am looking for companies using iSeries Access for the Web in the
Greater Lancaster Pa area who have dealt with this issue, just do I can
see this product in a production status.

Any ideas on how to find companies in the area using iSeries Access for
the Web as a 5250 terminal emulator.

Any help is much appreciated.

What were your goals?
- To give users web access without downloading a client (like a 5250
client)?
- To guify your screens every so slightly without much effort?

If it's the first one, I believe Joe Pluta has a product that you can
load
on your iSeries that gives them 5250 without having to load a client on
their PC's. Supposed to have a higher level of functionality with MSIE
though. I know that sends the anti-Bill crowd off into a slathering
fit,
but it was simply based on the technical capability of the MSIE browser.

Frankly, you sound like someone who is more interested in the
functionality, since you already are aware of some of the traditional
browser limitations like field exit; so I would think that you wouldn't
be
in the "Bill is the antiChrist crowd" or even if you were, you'd accept
something that would have the function.
