I never thought about if you were buidling an app that includes a "widget"
or something from another site.

Note that there are limitations on being able to go at another domain.  Or
maybe better put is that I don't believe you can execute an AJAX request to
a server other than the one you came from because of security concerns.  Can
anybody confirm that?  I ran into this while doing XSLT processing (nothing
to do with AJAX but doing a similar concept in trying to consume a resource
on another server).
