You need to create the save file on the remote system first. There's an
FTP command to run CL commands. I don't recall what it is off the top of
my head but look in the archives from yesterday and there's an example.

Subject: [WEB400] SAVE FILE Question

Hope I got the right list. Lots of great information going back and
forth. Thanks to everyone for all their ideas.

If iSeries number one does an FTP of a SAVE FILE to iSeries number two
what seems to happen is the SAVE FILE gets put into a library on iSeries
number two as a regular PF.

How do I get the resulting file to be a SAVE FILE on iSeries number TWO?

Signed - SAVE FILE Challenged in Houston -

i.e. Thomas who lives in the DFW metro area, but is on a project in
Houston.
