No, it's good to put this in proper context. In many cases the "freshness" of data won't matter. And you've been a good sport to allow your work and ideas to be put under a microscope.

The thing I had in the back of my mind was a system for mass transit, where every train and every bus has a GPS that feeds a database; a system that predicts within a matter of a short amount of time when each vehicle will arrive at stations along their routes. And users of cell phones connecting with iPhones to help themselves to data that refreshes, say every few seconds. That idea was influenced by my recent visit to Boston.

Real-time data. That'd be cool!
