That doesn't make sense ... REMOTE_USER is set using the basic authentication mechanism ... I don't think it's aware of the user id that is running the web server.

Could you post the code you are using to retrieve the REMOTE_USER environment variable?

You mentioned in your previous post that you created a field with INZ(*USER) ... this field I would expect to have 'QTMHHTP1' in it ... as this is the profile the web server instance is running as.

I *don't* think the web server does any user profile handle switching. That would be the responsibility of the application.
