Fortunately or unfortunately SugarCRM is based on PHP and that's not our
language of choice for applications.

All I will say on the reinventing the wheel thing is that had I not
reinvented a couple of wheels in the past I wouldn't have a successful
business today :-)

If Nathan wants to attempt to build a better mousetrap and he has a
vision I say "Go For It !!"

Maybe for the same reason that Richard did (or seems to have done)
although when Richard said he was "completing development on one that
will run on iSeries, Windows, Linux and AIX" I was like, DUDE! that is
SugarCRM.

But, beating the Open Source drum can be a lonely task in some
circles....
