It does - and the Curbstone guys updated them to include DB2 for i when they produced the Mantis/400 version.

However - I think benchmarking is in order still.

The agnostic layer imposes an overhead that with luck would not be present with the DB2 MySQL storage engine. IF that is the case and RPG access is required, the MySQL route may still be a better bet.
