Here's where I get lost, sorry for being dense...

and you chose to offer it as properitary

In most of my current scenarios I would be using it for home grown
in-house
applications, so I am not offering to sell proprietary software, ExtJS in
fact never leaves my network. Would my home grown in-house app still need
to be open sourced in that case in your opinion?

Sorry again for being dense.

Hi Aaron,

as long as you build software on other peoples software and it can't run
without it - and you chose to offer it as properitary - you are under
the
license rule of paying downwards.
