Hello,
The remark was somewhat tongue-in-cheek Aaron - but it seems to me
that licensing is certainly an issue in this thread and that doesn't
bode well for the future.
You should participate in the FreeBSD project for awhile. Every six
months or so there's a discussion about which license is better, and
they argue about it for about 2 months. Then quiet for awhile. Then
the next person comes along to start the debate again, and they argue
about it for another 2 months.
I don't think licensing has much to do with how well things bode for the
future of the platform.
As for this RPGUI project, it suffers from a lack of general direction
and guidance. Someone (i.e. Aaron) needs to step up and say "these are
our goals for the project, and how I plan to meet them..." let people
give input, but don't let it be a free-for-all.
Too many cooks spoil the broth. You're never going to get a consensus
of everyone.
What license does Scott K. use for his stuff I wonder?
I use the BSD License. Or more correctly the "Simplified BSD License"
(sometimes called "New" BSD License)
