There isn't any one feature in particular but inheritance and interface
programming can be very useful.

Put it this way, I have just embarked on a massive XML project using XML4PR,
if RPG supported an OO approach I would A)Have got the job done more quickly
B)Would be able to use all of the features of XML4C.

Overloading is nice to have as well.

Don't get me wrong I like RPG, and it is very suited to business logic. But
not everything I do is business logic. Some things, like a DOM or file IO
are easier when they are encapsulated in OO approach.

What OO feature do you think is necessary in RPG? It is not a trick
question - I am just trying to see what others think is beneficial and/or if
what they are wanting is really part of the OO mantra. For example, is
overloading an OO concept or just a language feature?

Ok, I guess the questions has to be then why isn't there a demand.

There seems to be a demand on other platforms, and there seems to be a
demand for OO on the iSeries, java, PHP ile c++ are all OO.

So why isn't there a demand for OO RPG, I want it ;-)
