Hi Aaron

I had hoped we had put this to bed ( or at least agreed to respect each
other's views ). Currently I am eating my dinner ( beans on toast ). After
I've eaten and slept I may come back to you, although I do not see much
point?

Subject: [WEB400] Why the IBM i *might* not be a good web server

Hi Maurice,

Now we are getting into some good depth it seems. I thought I would start a
new thread being we aren't on the topic of Wordpress anymore. With your 30
years of experience, which I will respect, could you digress into your
reasoning for the following two statements below?

I do not think that, at the moment, the I has enough native web integration
to make it a leader and first choice for web applications.

Could you describe what level of integration you are looking for?

I don't think that is what it was designed for

Could you describe how Microsoft WindowsServer and IIS make a better web
server than IBM i? This statement of yours surprised me more than the
former, because by the IBM i's very nature and foundation it was built to be
a multi-job/multi-user/multi-DB/multi-etc machine.

I respect your decision and views also.

For me the decision Is made although in the future it could possibly
change
dependent on new technologies that come available.

I don't think that is what it was designed for and I have been a supporter
for 30 years now. ( no more self flattery jibes please )

It still takes pride of place in my office and I paid for it myself!

Kind Regards
