Regarding running .NET natively, it turned out that Miguel de Icaza
(Mono-bigwig) knows "of at least two ports of Mono to AIX but the teams that
did the port were not allowed to release the changes back".

comments).

An AIX port have very good odds for running in PASE.

Changing topic :-)

Actually we've already slotted for an all day .Net lab this year. Did it 2
yrs ago and it was quite well attended.

Had to cancel last year because of some personal commitments.

The debate topic would definitely be lively as people need to start
realizing that Microsoft IS in the house and will continue to be no matter
how much buzz we generate about i.

Since IBM has pretty much closed the door to running .Net natively the only
way to use it is with a Microsoft based server or use the Grasshopper
product from Mainsoft to compile ASP.Net to Java.

To keep things balanced I DO program in RPG, CL,C, Java, a little PHP and
.Net so I can talk all sides relatively coherently. In fact some days I
debate with myself :-)

Make plans to spend the day with me learning .Net as well as other good IBM
I info in Southern Wisconsin March 16-17 2011. http://www.wmcpa.org

work without FTP

Since southeastern Wisconsin is a Microsoft enclave in a big way that
would be an excellent idea. I have copied the president of WMCPA on
this note as well.
