Booth,

You have probably already tried this but I haven't seen it mentioned yet.

Have you looked into the tutorials that come with the package? I must confess that I haven't spent much time in them but there seems to be a plethora of tutorials on just about every topic in the RDP package. If you are using WDSC there were some tutorials there but I don't remember much about them.

Just a thought.

Rick

It is looking like a very low level tutorial does not exist, or at least, if it does, it isn't well known.

That could mean a few different things. My hope is that it does not mean that there is no such thing as a beginner's tutorial because there is no simple solution.

Hopefully, Joe Pluta's book will be here next week and hopefully I can read it and hopefully I can follow his instructions and hopefully I can get something up and running.

Thank you for the comments.

Hey Booth,
I just got back into my Web Perspective yesterday to do some proof of
concept/mock up stuff for a stored procedure that I wrote that will be
used with Java. I'll be freshening up on my WAS deployment stuff
(since my last app went into production 2 years ago) over the next couple days.
If you have any questions you can ask here or email me offlist. Its
really not very hard to do what you want if you know Java.

Is there a good Tutorial that is current on Websphere?

In looking, I am finding pretty stale information, and it occurs to me
that probably those tutorials are no longer relevant or useful.

I am wanting to build an application that resides on the i, serves
dynamic web pages, and allows me to display the fields in a simple
keyed physical file, and an image (also stored on the i)

I would like to develop the application with Rational Developer for the i.

It occurs to me that I am probably making it all too complicated, and
that I might do well to stop, look, and listen.
