And if Booth meant WDSC/RDP and not WAS, there are some tutorials in the enterprise modernization sandbox - you can find it at

http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/downloads/emsandbox_power/index.html

I recommend NOT using the connection exercise in the quick start guide - there's a link there. But DO read it.

And for iSeries stuff, you do NOT need to download the Citrix client.

IBM refreshes the tutorial libraries every morning, so you need to finish a tutorial in a day - they talk about 3 hours.

These are the same tutorials used in conferences like COMMON, I think, or pretty close. They talk about a VM - you won't have one, so ignore that stuff in the text.

That should get you over most of the odd behavior I have run into - I got lots of help from the IBMers who are putting this together, however, so if you have problems, be sure to use the contact info on the page to report it.

Booth,

You have probably already tried this but I haven't seen it mentioned yet.

Have you looked into the tutorials that come with the package? I must confess that I haven't spent much time in them but there seems to be a plethora of tutorials on just about every topic in the RDP package. If you are using WDSC there were some tutorials there but I don't remember much about them.

Just a thought.

It is looking like a very low level tutorial does not exist, or at least, if it does, it isn't well known.

That could mean a few different things. My hope is that it does not mean that there is no such thing as a beginner's tutorial because there is no simple solution.

Hopefully, Joe Pluta's book will be here next week and hopefully I can read it and hopefully I can follow his instructions and hopefully I can get something up and running.

Thank you for the comments.
