Hi,
you can't control CGI processing from the Apache because processing
continues even if the Apache is Timeout.
One way to capture long running processes is to make a log file where
you record program name and processing time.
You should be aware of processing time may be affected by many things
such as "cold start" of the Apache server, disk wait, cpu wait etc. So a
program that normally runs in microseconds may use several seconds to
complete from time to time.

I will like to limit the time (or CPU) allowed for each CGI request, in
order to cause the bad programs to fail. Once I know wich programs are
using to much CPU I can concentrate on them to optimize.
Is there a directive in the Apache configuration to limit the time?
I found one for PHP in Linux, but I don't know if I can use it for RPG
(CGIDEV) or NetData.
TIA
Raúl
