That's okay with me. I considered suggesting the same. I don't wan't the conversation to become tedious for anyone. I don't want anyone to think I'm dissing on Web Sockets, either. I think it's an important technology, and we need to understand it. Thanks for the suggestion about using wireshark to observe an open WS connection. I think I'll try that. I was searching for a way to do that with Fiddler, but couldn't find one. I'm somewhat hopeful that someone will implement or port an Apache module so that we don't have to implement another server just to support Web Sockets.
