Yes, some of the traffic was specifically labeled keep-alive. Other seemed to be related to the Web Socket protocol; synchronization and such . Other seemed to be related to the jWebSocket server. If I'm only participating in the "chat" service, why am I getting traffic from the "canvas" service too?

Web sockets are supposed to be "persistent" connections according to the specification. Why is the client periodically polling with keep-alive and other requests? I thought we all agreed that polling is NOT good!
