Well, yes, there is something you can do about it.

Have good discussions here, on this mailing list.

I, for one, prefer to use my favorite mail client for discussions, instead of some arcane web interface designed by somebody for something completely different (speaking in general terms, not linkedin which I do not know).

(and also note that with a few words replaced your argument becomes a statement that the world is moving away from AS/400 and there is nothing you can do about it...)

Tha fact is that many IBM I general technical discussions are moving into linkedin.com groups and there is really anyting you can do about it other than move yourselves in the same direction.

The biggest LinkedIn IBM I/AS/400 groups has today over 10.000 members where most just are followers.
