Booth - I really think this is a bad idea for two reasons.

1) Why teach them a tool that is obsolete before they start? It is not supported on any other platform and has not been enhanced in eons. the only support for it used to come from www.ignite400.org but that site no longer exists - that alone should tell you something. having to use the wayback machine to find answers to questions is not goodness.

2) It is no more native than PHP. Both come with the box. But with PHP you have hundreds of web sites, discussions groups, books, college classes, etc. to help you learn. Plus PHP continues to evolve. Try finding help with mobile apps written in Net.Data

By all means teach RPG based techniques but please don't waste people's time on a tool that is going nowhere. For those using Net.Data today it is fine to continue it - but it makes no sense for people starting from scratch.

If you want other alternatives Project WOW will give you the simple editable tables you want and that's free. Same for powerExt and Renaissance and ...
