I know I'm appreciative of this conversation. Given workloads and the need
to learn new things without conversations like this in arenas like this it
is hard to know what technologies work on the IBM i platform and what
people are doing with them. As long as it is running on the IBM i I think
that creates relevance to get new ideas into old habits. How can those of
us in very small shops develop modern habits and skill sets within our
platform if we aren't exposed to it in forums that support our platform?

I tend to agree with Mark. These conversations do belong here. They do
relate to IBM i, and are useful to IBM i developers who should be
considering these technologies for new applications.

Of course, the discussions may also be useful to people on other
platforms, too. For this reason, the original posters such as Kelly
might wish to cross-post them to other forums where they would be more
visible to people across other platforms and would allow them to also
give their input.

But that does not (and should not) preclude also having the conversation
here. I don't think it's right to restrict WEB400 solely to back-end
solutions.

The things that Kelly and others have been discussing are HIGHLY
relevant to the questions going through the minds of IBM i developers
who are looking to implement modern front-ends.

Besides, if we kick out these discussions we are intentionally
diminishing the IBM i community.
