I think that's a safe assumption. I also suspect that the "database
connection" spawns an additional QSQSRVR JOB on IBM i using the same user
profile as the Node.js client.

What do you think of that architecture? To me the Node.js interface with
the IBM i database and other native objects seems to be on par with PHP,
Ruby, and Python - which are pretty much on par with .Net interfaces. Were
you expecting more?
