Hey nerds!

I thank Jon Paris for suggesting ZendCon. ZendCon has propelled my development on IBM i; and I am no longer afraid.

I have seen some amazing things out here... and I have relaxed my feelings towards "Helper" Software. Helper Software, other then your favorite IDE/ILE, helps you write your code needed to complete a project. The session on Doctrine ORM, given by Margaret Staples, was awesome. I dare the most hardened DB Admin to try out Doctrine ORM. As a hard core DB Admin and PHP Developer, I want total control and I do every thing by brute force.

After seeing the tools available, whether you are on the IBM i or not, I realized I have been merely playing with Chisel And Stone!

Tony Cairns gave an awesome session on chroot. If you are running your public facing web services on the root of your system, STOP IT!.

Tony gave an awesome demo of how to create separate environments for each developer and web services. If you get hacked, back up current chroot, delete chroot, create a new one... By being in a chroot, no one can ever get to your database and your business logic.

I am going to be diving into ZendFrameWork... and I can not wait to see what PHP 7 is going to be like when it is released.

I have met some brilliant individuals from all over the planet. I hope to hire a few of them.

As soon as I get back to Dallas, all flights cancelled in DFW because of the rains, I will be getting all of my notes published.

Thank You all who helped to point me here!
