JavaScript runs on the client/browser (unless it's node.js) and stored procedures run on the server. You cannot run/invoke stored procedures directly from JavaScript any more than you can call an rpgle program from JavaScript. All you can do is submit an http request from JavaScript or from a web form and have the endpoint run the stored procedure - maybe via a cgi program.

Back to a simple web page... 2+ years ago I asked about stored procedures and a simple web page. The last piece, for now, is calling a stored procedure from javascript on a web page on the IFS.

The stored procedure creates a .json file on the ifs and the web page reads and presents that .json data to the user. The last step for now is to click a button on the web page and have it invoke the stored procedure to refresh the .json file.

So far I have been able to stay within the confines of HTML, javascript, and .css. I am looking to include a javascript function that invokes the stored procedure?
