It seems like the problem was my Apache server was running as a named
user, and that was caused authority failures. I've fixed all but one.
The
remaining one is very persistent. Whenever I start my server, it
creates one
or more .SOCK files (see below) in my logs directory. It ignores the
permissions set on my logs dir, and always set the .SOCK files to
*PUBLIC
*EXCLUDE & QTMHHTTP *RWX. If I can't figure out a built-in way to set
the
proper permissions, I'll have to code something to do it myself.

Example:
/www/MyServerNameHere/logs/fcgi-mofbnmn.sock
