IBM is in the process of moving Web Administration GUI to Navigator.

Not sure why deploying a web service would be slow. But I can see things being slow when having dozens of web services deployed ad you try to go throw the pages in search of a web service. In this case, I would suggest you use the filter.

In meantime, ensure that enough memory is allocated to subsystem.

Alternatively, you could use the Qshell scripts.

Subject: [EXTERNAL] [WEB400] Improve performance of IWS web UI?
Folks:

Does anyone know if the performance of the IWS web UI can be improved?

Right now it's painfully slow, which makes creating, deploying, and
managing services very difficult. I'm talking about minutes between
clicking a button and the web page updating.

Add the lack of any busy indication (request submitted about that to IBM:
https://ibm-power-systems.ideas.ibm.com/ideas/IBMI-I-4550 ), it's even more
difficult.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
