Gregg,

I have not even considered this nor would I since it would bypass a lot of
security features but you did have two responses on L-Notes-L.

1) Accessing iNotes with Blackberry browser won't work. There are several
alternative how they can use blackberry devices. But chipest and fastest
route is BES server of cource. It just couple thousonds. Another
alternatives is using Websphere Wireless access server, modifying email
template and so on is more costy.

2) Eeep. Haven't tried this (our Powers That Be were smart enough to pay
for
the BB server), and I can't imagine it working at all well. Last I checked
(admittedly, the documentation I downloaded a month ago might be out of
date), the Blackberry browser doesn't support tables, which suggests that
views and folders would become essentially unreadable. Oh, and it doesn't
support frames either. You'd have to rebuild the whole interface for this
to work.
Also an issue. Some years ago, I experimented with auto-forwarding
messages when the OoO agent was running. Either you get two batches of
email (some on the Blackberry, some in Notes, which is going to hurt
searches) or problems with replying to messages forwarded within Notes
rather than just passed along by the Domino server. I think it's safe to
say that the best, safest, and ultimately cheapest bet is to spring for the
BES. The alternatives are too hideous to consider.

Regards,
Eric
