To work with DWA (6.5.4 here) we have the following tips for XP SP2 users:
- In Internet Options -> Security settings -> set to Medium -> then click
custom level -> Enable automatic prompting for ActiveX controls. Otherwise
the ActiveX plugin will not correctly install.
- Disable all popup blocking in IE for *.ourdomain.com. Also check for the
presence of the Google or MSN toolbar with pop up blocking.
- HTTP 1.1 is only needed for correctly downloading attachments. (Not
needed since 6.5.4)
Some issues regarding SP2 are solved with Domino 6.5.4 (drag&drop didn't
work, buttons in 'New Folder' or 'Spellchecker' fell behind statusbar,
etc...)

However, your problem is very similar to many pop-up blocker problems
we've seen. The DWA warning is presented when DWA cannot show the 'You
have new mail' window, which is the first it wants to show when opening
the mailbox with new mail in it. If that is the case, then also calendar
notifications will cause the same warnings -> hence multiple errors.
You said, it works fine on your own workstation; When logging in as the
user, are you presented with popups or not? Then try and disable those. If
that solves it, probably there still is an active popup blocker
(Google/MSN toolbar, anti-adware, etc.).

Also, try and set in de Preferences (tab Other) the default start-up page
to Mail instead of Welcome. Maybe you'll notice a difference.

Otherwise, wild guess: Cookie settings?

If you use Sametime integration, try upgrading your Sun Java to 1.5.
Sun JVM versions 1.4.2_06 and before can hang IE in QuickPlaces, I guess
also in DWA -> check your java console.
Never heard of the DWA warnings caused by Sametime, though.

I had one remote user with the same problem as you have. He could only
solve it by reinstalling the PC, since the options above didn't help.

Good luck,

Subject
Domino Web Access errors

I have a situation where some users who try to access their Notes mail via

Domino Web Access, and after logging onto the server, get an error message

indicating that 'DWA is unable to process the request'. The message then
goes on to say the user should simply refresh.

Users are using IE6. One user has the problem on a laptop with XP-SP2.
Another is using a Tablet pc with XP-SP for tablet. Both have java and
active-x installed/enabled. Hardware is less than one year old.

Problem is that the mail file is never displayed. I get all the tabs
across the top but clicking on any of them results in the same error.

Everything works fine on my pc. (XP/SP2, with sun java and active-x
installed). But when I log on to the other hardware I get the same error
as the other users. That leads me to something in the XP or IE6 arena.

Domino is R6.5.1, xp is xp/pro on all pc's.

Anyone with any clues? Is there anyway to log this event so that I can get

more details.

Regards, Jerry
