I don't know if DNS is really the issue b/c it's resolving the correct 
IP... got to be something else, but what?

You could try changing something in your DNS settings (or even just 
hitting enter to get out of the screen) and I believe this will do 
something like flushdns with Windows. This should make sure that 
everything is re-cached and up-to-date.
