Hi Nathan, DAOS is a server-based function. When you create a local
replica, everything is as it was pre-DAOS. All of the attachment are
contained in the Domino database on the local replica. So your mail file
on the server will have the attachments stored in .nlo files due to the
DAOS functionality, your local mail file on your PC will have all of the
attachments stored directly in the Domino database.

Have turned on DAOS for the server and just my mail file. Went from 800MB
to
177MB.
In a previous question I asked about the ODS on the local replica being 43
but if both the server and local mail file had ODS 51 to enable DAOS what
would happen to the attachments when I work offline when using the local
mail file.
I suppose my question is, do the DAOS changes get replicated to the local
mail file? Or does it only affect server based mail files?
