Effectively the agent does a precheck and if it cannot access the stream
file it comes back with a generic message saying it is unavailable.

It's a consideration but these outages are rare and normally done at the
same time. It's a toss up between doing it this way and requiring other
functions/applications to be modified. Right now I'm trying to minimize
the amount of work that others have to do.....

Clean up

Sign off as ROBX

CPIAD12-Servicing user profile ROBX from client gdisys01.dekko-1.
CPIAD02-User ROBX from client gdisys01.dekko-1 connected to server.
Had to cancel that job...

Might be a consideration for IFS backups, etc...

Also, what will your agent do when someone fires it off during an IPL,
upgrade, etc of the other machine?

We only have 10 i lpars. Everyone except for two have Domino. Those
two
have QNOTES because they're HA backups for the primaries that do have
Domino on them and the HA software replicates all user profiles.
Therefore

it would be hard for me to test that.

Sign on to GDISYS
CRTUSRPRF ROBX
sign on as ROBX
MD '/QFileSvr.400/GDIHQ'
wrklnk '/QFileSvr.400/gdihq'
CPFA09C-Not authorized to object. Object is /QFileSvr.400/gdihq.
Sign on to GDIHQ.
CRTUSRPRF ROBX
Go back to GDISYS as ROBX
wrklnk '/QFileSvr.400/gdihq'
Works fine.
Go back to GDIHQ
CHGUSRPRF ROBX PASSWORD(BULLPUCK)
Go back to GDISYS. Signoff ROBX and sign back on as ROBX
WRKLNK still works. Checks user but not password? Some funky system
value or something might be set that says we have tight control over
user
profiles and that's ok.
