To your knowledge does retroactively applying SCOS to user archives work?

I have a good number of mail users who have archives which would benefit
from being SCOS'ed.
But my understanding is that SCOS works at the router level --- so it
wouldn't work on archives, or does it?

I'm looking for an email archiving solution that will work with Domino
8.5.x
and hopefully run natively on the iSeries. Anyone have any experience
with
a product that fits that description ?

Thanks,

Bob
