What version of Domino are you on when you are still talking about SCOS?
That is dead, forget about it, put it out of your mind. With a current
version of Domino you should be using DAOS (Domino Attachment and Object
Service). Think of it as a new version of SCOS that actually works. Does
it make a difference? Sure wish I could export the file view from Domino
Administrator to show you the HUGE difference it makes. Does several disk
drives mean anything? How's about a few gig just on one person's archive
file?

Database properties should have the following turned on:
- Use LZ1 compression for attachments
- Use Domino Attachment and Object Service
- Compress database design
- Compress document data
Not all are related to DAOS. There's more to using DAOS than just that
and it will take a little setup.
