Thanks for all the input. I had the user uninstall and reinstall both
outlook and damo but then it didn't like his password. So I recertified
the expired id and that worked.

The bad news is that when I asked the IT director whether I should pursue
a server and desktop upgrades to 8.5.3 his response was that he wanted to
start in June towards migrating off domino. I think they're making a big
mistake that will definitely cost more in the long run, and we'll still
hear the same complaints that we get now about notes. Just trading one set
of problems for another. They'll save few bucks doing so, but the question
to me is how do you put a cost on the existing knowledge base, and
training everyone on a new system.
