Is this a pure Java solution, or are you invoking Java from RPG for
instance?

In the past, I've found pure Java to be faster than trying to invoke from
RPG.

What OS version? What Java version? 32/64 bit?

Have you tried to determine where the time is being spent?

Hi,

I've a very special case of a customer.

Case: Printing a QR Code with the Swiss flag in the middle.
(Direction!)

Printerfiles are not able to do that, QR-Codes yes, but not with an
embedded
picture.

So I've wrote a small ZXING Java program and a colleague a DataQ server
program to prevent multiple starts of the JVM.

But it's still too slow! For 1000 QR Codes needs my i9 3 Min and the
customer talks about 2 Million documents with a QR-Code.

How can I achieve much more speed to run the java prog?

This customer wants a full IBM i solution.

Who can give me a good advice.

Thanks and take care.

Karl
