So I've wrote a small ZXING Java program and a colleague a DataQ serverI would suggest making the java code a server function that runs all the time waiting for requests to generate the QR code. That way the java startup penalty isn't incurred every time it's invoked.

customer talks about 2 Million documents with a QR-Code.
