Rick and Brian,

In a message dated 97-05-31 04:56:52 EDT, you write:

As the little draft board guy used to say in the WWII-era Warner Brothers
cartoons, "Well, now I wouldn't say THAAAT". I personally feel that ITER and
LEAVE are alternatives to GOTO that allow the programmer to avoid
horrendously complex IF statements that anyone else would take HOURS to
interpret. This sort of harks back to Dave and Charlie's original premise,
in that the code should be more legible than efficient. I think that
everyone is familiar with MY stance on GOTO's (they're the work of the
Devil), but ITER and LEAVE provide functionality that is easily available in
other languages without the use of GOTO. I personally would take ITER and
LEAVE over GOTO or even CABxx any day...
