It appears that the data you are seeing in actually PACKED!! You need to
look at the data in Hex format (Use DSPPFM, DBU, Etc..) You will
probably find that the field makes sense if you interpret it as packed.

You should have gotten a level check on the file, unless LVLCHK(*NO) was
in effect.
