I've used them with no undesirable side affects.  I've never heard of any
cons.

Subject:  subfile processing--readc & sflnxtchg




I'm interested in getting  opinions on the use of READC and SFLNXTCHG in
processing subfiles.  I was trained to avoid both, but I know the opcode
and
the keyword are available and many people who don't have horns and tails or
drool use them.  I assume there are pros and cons.
