That is the restriction I have to live with. One other problem is that in between those IPL's OS/400 is favoring the new disk drives and this can create a real I/O bottleneck. My system is averaging 25,000 to 30,000 transaction per hour with an average disk storage growth of 4GB per month though. We might be a bit "out of the norm" ...
