>What is enough RAM for a client workstation to have on a CA/TCPIP network >on an as400. IMHO a networked PC using office apps, TCP/IP and CA/400 should have at least 64MB of RAM. My workstation has 128MB and I use every "byte" of it.... RAM is relatively cheap. Yours and my salary is not. I don't know about you, but when my PC is down I'm not doing much useful work.... Spending a little bit of money to insure your PC remains stable when in use is much better that paying our salaries as sit on our hands watching our PC's reboot, or waiting for scandisk to finish on an unstable PC twice a day.
