Buck, I would tend to agree.  Unfortunately some of our department
representatives bought into this urban legend and insisted we test this date
as part of our functional area tests.  Nothing ever failed, obviously, for
the reasons you stated.  I hope the paranoid ones out there don't work
themselves into too much of a frenzy over this date.

        special value.  On the other hand, I have seen lots of 99/99/99 and
00/00/00
        used for special purposes...  Some Y2K folks have been warning about

        but I suspect it to be an urban legend.
