Would you consider opening the FTP server on the AS/400 and having him
send directly there? Its fast and no headaches.

        Subject: FTP questions

I have a client that wants to automate the following process:

A file is FTP'd to an NT server by a user via the Internet.
at this point we want to automate getting the file on to the 400 and
process it.

#1 I'd like to have the NT notify the 400 that the file is there and have
the 400 kick off a process to retrieve the file from the NT and then
process it
or
#2 have the NT then send the file to the 400 and kick off the process.

I really don't want to use a timed loop, I'd like it to be automagic when

the file arrives on the NT. Is anyone doing this? What FTP server are you
using on the NT? I guess what I want is the the arrival of the file to
run a script on the NT.
