The main problem we found with this is opening the C/A connection and the security issues associated with that, so decided on FTP. And if you're going to have a connection, you might as well have the NT machine take the file off the IFS rather than do a C/A transfer. If you are on V4R4 the formatting to make a CSV, TXT file or whatever format file are a breeze, from there simply FTP it with a PUT statement. If your not, it's simply an extra step to do so. I spent a fair amount of time researching this same issue ( So I'm a bit slow ) and after deciding on FTP, it took less than a week to fully implement both sides. > -----Original Message----- > From: Robert Perno [SMTP:r_perno@wshein.com] > Sent: Tuesday, December 12, 2000 12:07 PM > To: MIDRANGE-L@midrange. com (E-mail) > Subject: Automate Client Access Transfer > > Is there a way to run a 400 to PC transfer request(*.tto) with a CL > command. > I need to load/update a ship-to file on our NT server which is used by 3rd > party shipping software in our warehouse department.
