No, it was more a matter of having an open C/A connection running when not
in use. If you can automate the connection and then disconnect during this
process you're quite correct about the security. I don't have anybody that
can code in C so I was unable to use IBM's (unsupported) logon script
written in that language. That could beautomated on the NT and used to
connect and unconnect. There are probably other ways we could have gone as
well. But we gave up and used FTP.
