Mark I've seen this before and funnily enough it involved a printer - is it a third party printer with 5250 interface ? (just curious) The answer was to cable all of them with twinax instead of using baluns and UTP. Using UTP/baluns to daisy chain was just plain unreliable. To provide som esupport for this theory try hanging each device off the end of the twinax cable. If each of them work and you have the addresses right then it is most likely cable. Same devices worked fine through a twinax concentrater, but daisy chaining with net cable and baluns was .. well let's just say it was too much like real twinax for me to persist :) Hope this helps Evan Harris >It's been a long time since I had to deal with this, so if someone can tell >me what I am doing wrong I would greatly appreciate it. > > >Configuration > > >DSP01-----Twinax cable-----PRT01--Balun--network >cable--Balun--DSP02--Balun--network cable--Balun--DSP03 > > >What happens is that DSP03 gets a signon but DSP02 does not, it stays Vary >On Pending...
