1.) attach a *DTAQ to the appropriate *OUTQ
2.) monitor the *DTAQ with an RPGLE pgm to retrieve the spool file
attributes
3) pass these attributes to a CL pgm to do the CPYSPLF
4) copy the database file to the appropriate directory, either on the
400 or on a mapped drive...all automagically and unattended
 
or
 
FTP the database file to the appropriate directory, converting it to
ASCII along the way

Operations Navigator allows Copy and Paste of a spool file which is a
very convienient way to transfer but I need to have page and line
commands inorder to load it into a COLD archive system.  
 
I know I can do that with the cpysplf command but the interface is
cumbersome, i.e. having to know job number/user/name, spool number and
spoolfile name.  
 
Does anyone have any suggestions.  Brad, does your tool do it?
