Well, yes, but I can't speak from experience there. Does CODE/400 convert RPG
output specs to PRTF DDS?

But anyone who has SEU, and any compiler, gets a reportedly great design
tool free with V5R1 - It's called CODE/400.

If your search for a conversion tool fails to yield one that converts
internal
printer file definitions to external PRTFs, I would recommend that you look
at
Report Design Aid (RDA) by Gumbo Software.

I don't think it would normally be considered a conversion tool per se, but
it
is an excellent printer file design aid with the look and feel of IBM's
SDA.
It's what IBM's miserable RLU should have been.

The upshot in your case is that you can use RDA to edit the RPG output
specs
and then save them to an externally described printer file DDS.

Personally, I would be a little wary of any tool that purports to
_automatically_ convert RPG output specs to PRTF DDS specs.

Hi,
Can anyone reccommend any good S36 to native conversion tools? The only
one
I have used is NCSPRO which is adequate. One thing it does not do which I
am looking for is convert internal printer file definitions to external
PRTFs.

Thanks in advance for your input.
