Hi Avi,

I actually took your suggestion to "think about it".

One of the lures of Microsoft Technologies is that by doing a little
tinkering, you get what appears to be impressive results. More often it
leads down a path that ends with a performance bottleneck, or reliability
issue, or some technical constraint, that leaves you wishing that you hadn't
taken the easy and popular route. You're often left sitting on your
software asset while Microsoft has shifted to yet another direction. I've
been there and done that!

While it may take a little more effort to learn and master an OS/400 based
technology, the result is more often a longer lasting solution. So my
suggestion is that you pay less attention to the media and culture clamor
surrounding Microsoft, and focus on the goals you want to accomplish. That
approach will lead you to something that has more lasting value.

Nathan.
