We wrote our own version of this for spool file download about
11 years ago. We also used ti to make  a client server system
where the green screen was  the client and the PC was the
server. We had to have a general purpose p[roduct that did not
rely on Client Acces/PC support, since many people didn't use
it, and it broke a lot on new releases (and an archive customer
cannot wait for PTFs.)

Now we are tcp/ip centric.
