I have a client that had an old - but still in excellent shape - line
printer that they didn't want to get rid of. However, they were getting rid
of all twinax devices. We used this device to connect the printer to the
network. It was a little pricey for this being its only use, but it was
they alternative they chose. I would have liked a little better
documentation, but it was relatively easy to set up. They called me once
about 3 weeks after installation, saying that the printer was either
printing slow or not printing at all. I reset the BOS unit and everything
started working again. I don't know if the failure was caused by the BOS
unit or by some network work that had been going on.
